• cafe scene. young people roasting coffee beans and opening their own cafes. But they admit they lack the resources to develop their roasting skills to an ideal level of competence.

I have spent a long time in suffering from the taints of the three poisons (which the Buddha has pointed out in the Dhamma):

1. lust, greed, desire, craving
2. hatred, aversion, ill-will, hostility
3. ignorance, folly and delusion.

Nevertheless, these older men – who have suffered, for an even longer time, from pain of some kind or another – were generous enough to appear in a photo together with me.

Yeah, curbing my intake of coffee is torturously difficult. But I make effort.
