The time to lift up your heads

I've learnt over the years to endure other people's annoyance with me.

Like the time I went to a foreign country – which shall remain un-identified in this post – and the staff at the currency-exchange gave me more money than the correct amount.

I was unfamiliar with the local language so I could only gesture for the staff to count the money again.

The staff looked annoyed (“pesky foreigner,” she must have thought) but grinned somewhat sheepishly upon discovering the excess money.

I hope this post gives you some courage to lift your head up high, even in the midst of public annoyance, no matter what you've set out to do.

But don't get me wrong. I'm not encouraging anyone to do wrong things and suffer the punishment for it.
