Acting, class, day 1 of 8.

New game: Zip, Zap, Zoom. New rules. Everybody knew nothing about the game except our coach/teacher. But we managed to get a nice rhythm going, eventually. I feel proud of myself. I realised that I'm not incompetent, I just need some guidance and practice.

Exercise for the diaphragm: projecting the sounds of “Yee, Yay” to a wall far away, while bouncing up and down. My voice, before and after this exercise, changed. It sounded less tight, less choked, more full.

Neutral pose: Feet are hip-width apart, knees slightly relaxed to bring the hips forward, head raised up as if held taut by an overhead string, so that the spine elongates. To become a vessel for an imaginary character.
