a short reflection on my internship at a start-up (named: Good For Us)

Hi everyone, I joined Good For Us as an intern two months ago. One of the things we talk about regularly is the things we're grateful for, so I thought I will share my thoughts similarly.

As a software developer, one of the things I'm grateful for is being able to learn the Ruby On Rails framework. Ruby is a programming language and Rails is the framework. The latter makes it easy to talk to databases and apply design patterns, but it does a lot of magic behind the scenes, so I am glad that I can apply it now after being confused by it at the start.

I'm also glad for the chance to be a better person. For example, we visited [redacted], where Chris works, and it is refreshing to see a place where people are sincere about sharing their thoughts and helping each other out in simple tasks.

Lastly, I'm grateful for the little rituals that we do, like taking a few minutes to clear our thoughts before every discussion, because they help me feel better at every session, and they are things I will always associate with my time with Good For Us.

Thank you Chris, for your patience and for providing a clear sense of direction every time, and for setting an example for us; and thank you Abel for the company.

To borrow from Chris: with gratitude.
